At Work

At Work makes music with synthesizers, electronic beats, and original location recordings.
Partly, the music seeks to express the sterile, nonchalant terror and the unlikely beauty of where he resides: the boring, depressing, environmentally catastrophic edge of Philadelphia's sprawling towns creeping into the New Jersey Pine Barrens.
While critical of unsustainable design, At Work accepts the contradictions of contributing to sprawl by not living in a city and the guilt of owning and driving a car.
Since Build It Up, Break It Down in 2005, At Work has been toiling in new tracks, remixes of old tracks, remixes for Sub-Arkt, Alka, and Knife Jams, a short video about the New Jersey Turnpike (Drive Carefully) and occasionally performed in Philadelphia's Seclusiasis and Broketronica scenes.
Spring 2010 will bring the much anticipated 32 track Build It Up, Break It Down - Remix digital album, featuring updates and remixes by Alka, City Rain, Knife Jams, Dev79, Stumble, Sub-Arkt, Clocklife and At Work.
