Cloud People - "I Don't Even Know If We Could Get Any Wilder" - PATH18

Sky music, from the pines.

Cloud People deliver four easy and playful dubs made in the last few months in time for winter, featuring upbeat percussion, sunny xylophones and warm, glowing basslines. It’s a short hike through the wilds featuring scenic lookouts on humanity’s place amongst the other animals and the cosmos.

This is the 8th release in their series The Clouds, and it seems it will be the last EP of its kind in the series.

Floods, At Work appear on “… and darkness came” – Headphone Commute’s Hurricane Sandy victim benefit 87-track album

December 7, 2012
Headphone Commute - "... And Darkness Came"

From Headphone Commute comes a massive compilation (6 hours/87 tracks long) of modern classical, ambient electronic, and experimental to relieve victims of Hurricane Sandy: ... and darkness came.

It is to be released December 10 via their Bandcamp page . Best described here , by Stephen Mejias, on his Stereophile Magazine Blog:
On the morning of November 7, about a week after Sandy hit our area, the people behind Headphone Commute, a website devoted to the appreciation of music and high-quality sound, reached out to their favorite artists and asked if they’d like to donate tracks for a compilation, the entire proceeds of which would go to Doctors Without Borders and The Humane Society, in an effort to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. By midday, Headphone Commute had received confirmations from 10 artists, included among them acclaimed pianist Nils Frahm. Over the next several days, more artists eagerly offered contributions. Today, the roster of musicians reads like a “Who’s Who” in the worlds of modern classical, ambient electronic, and experimental music...

New At Work EP out now – “Community Creation”

November 17, 2012
At Work - "Community Creation" - PATH17

Qixoni x Bit Mummy x Release The Kraken x At Work

In early 2011, At Work contributed a few melodies as a response to a call for collaboration from the Philadelphia Ambient Consortium.

New Jersey’s Qixoni took the melodies and made a full track out of them.

He also got others involved: Bit Mummy, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Release The Kraken, from the now devastated Jersey shore.

Each took the few scraps provided and constructed their vision out of very little. Meanwhile, At Work remixed Qixoni’s interpretation.

These mixes are the result.
