BD1982 - "Trails" - Cloud People Remix

Cloud People join Gunhead, Jam City, Makumba Sound, and Brey in remixing BD1982's lush and wild excursion, "Trails".

The mix features Sam Moskalik on the djembe, Evan Wilder plucking his two-string acoustic guitar and Cloud People on Micromoog, FX and production.

According to Seclusias it is "chock full tropical heat, taking unique interpretations of UK funky, dubstep and street bass all fused together."

It includes two exclusives: “Magnets On My Back” (an "excursion onto a space age dancefloor") and “Whoa!” ("thick dubstep with a carnival of twists n’ turns").

The EP is out now on Seclusiasis [wpfa icon="external-link"], Beatport [wpfa icon="external-link"], & iTunes [wpfa icon="external-link"].

2019 update: As of now, Boomkat, Juno, Zero Inch links are dead and removed.

"Trails" (BD1982's original version which can be heard below) is taken from the BD1982 album Lets Talk Math.

Floods “Transmission”, now availbale on iTunes

November 13, 2010

In 2010, Floods' debut Transmission was available on iTunes, Amazon, and several other digital stores.

As of 2019, it is only available on Bandcamp in your choice of full or high quality files.

Floods - "Transmission" - PATH3

Floods’ solitary offering, Transmission, arose from honest love, was completed from sadness and desperation, and finally polished into a smooth stone by time and distance.

Though the great majority of its simple riffs and beats were performed during one sleepless weekend, as the calendar year rolled from late night to early morning (2002 going into 2003), the final product is only now being released.

The story is that of a young man and woman.

They are in love.

A very straightforward story: Due to unspecified circumstances, the young man and woman are temporarily separated by many states, rivers, and trains.

They look forward to meeting again.

Though they will spend Christmas apart, the New Year will be theirs.

They speak of great things. They plan adventures, make promises, share dreams.

Upon their reunion, however, something has passed.

The woman is no longer happy, and the young man cannot please her.

A sudden end, a break, a stillness.

Stephen Mejias, guitarist of New Jersey’s Multi-Purpose Solution, called on his close friend, Brother Todd, to help him set these moods to music.

The result is a gentle but urgent thing — a call for help, a last kiss goodbye — Transmission by Floods.
